The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), previously known as the Department of Export Promotion, officially launches 'Thailand Trust Mark' (TTM) - a new quality assurance for Thai products and services, to replace the successful 'Thailand's Brand' icon introduced in 1990.

The move is part of the government’s proactive policy on trade development, in preparation for the integration into the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

“Driven by several trade-related factors and the need for change in the current global market where intense competition prevails, TTM will assure the quality of Thai products and services, as well as promote the image of a “Reliable Country-of-Origin”. In so doing, the mark benefits consumers, foreign traders and local entrepreneurs alike. Consumers who choose TTM products, and traders who wish to establish partnership with TTM-endorsed entrepreneurs can be confident that not only do the products and services themselves offer high quality that we guarantee; but the production process is reliable, safe, environmental friendly and socially responsible as well. These are the added values that entrepreneurs will enjoy at the same time,” said Kittirat Na-Ranong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, who presided over the ‘TTM’ launching event.
